Primary Objective:

The Senior Corporate Communications & Media Relations Manager role supports the Head of Corporate Communications and Media Relations (\xe2\x80\x9cCCMR\xe2\x80\x9d) in developing and implementing the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Communications strategies and roadmap to strengthen the Group\xe2\x80\x99s brand domestically and regionally. It encompasses media relations work and customer engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: * Internal and External Communications:

  • Develop, finetune, and analyse the efficacy of the narrative and communication strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop and edit internal and external communications materials supporting the narrative and communication strategy and roadmap. This includes materials for media publications, senior management speeches, announcements, notices and other communications.
  • Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders on communications matters.
  • Media Relations and Management:
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with the media
  • Monitor and analyse the communications roadmap\xe2\x80\x99s efficacy and efficiency and improve it where required.
  • Issues/Crisis Communication:
  • Supports the Head of CCMR in managing an issue or crisis by managing the media, developing, finetuning and disseminating the communication materials, and monitoring the media and on-ground sentiment.
  • Governance:
  • Develop or improve and maintain internal policies, manuals, guidelines, processes and other administrative materials, including reviewing and awarding contracts.
  • Publication:
  • Evaluate requests for articles and other material submissions by external publications, and develop, review, edit and disseminate editorial content.
  • Others
  • Provide support to other functions within the Corporate Communications & Media Relations team where required.
Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in one of the following: Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or other job-related fields
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in a position requiring the knowledge and application of strategic communications, along with writing for internal and external audiences (samples of work needed)
  • Has experience in creative and strategic thinking
  • Has practical knowledge about public relations, media issues, practices and communications strategies and implementation
  • Able to work independently and in teams
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Other languages are optional.
  • Knowledge and experience in marketing communications, web and social media tools (e.g. Word Press, SEO, YouTube, Facebook, etc.).
