Our esteemed client runs a platform that engages doctors and healthcare professionals through technology to provide high quality services to patients and pharmaceutical companies. This role is based in Malaysia.

Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Senior Newsletter Editor. As the editor, you will be responsible for curating and creating engaging content for the e-newsletter, which is distributed to healthcare professionals, and industry experts. Your role will be crucial in ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is presented in a clear and concise manner, catering to our target audience\'s interests and needs. The ideal candidate possesses excellent writing and editing skills, a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, and a passion for staying informed about the latest advancements and trends.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research, select, and curate relevant and impactful content for inclusion in the newsletter, covering a wide range of topics such as drug development, clinical trials, regulatory updates, market trends, and breakthrough discoveries.
• Write original articles, feature stories, and summaries of scientific studies, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our editorial guidelines. Edit and proofread content submitted by contributors (healthcare professionals) to maintain consistent quality and styles.
• Stay abreast of the latest pharmaceutical and healthcare news, industry developments, and scientific breakthroughs, and identify key stories that are of interest to our readership by monitoring reputable sources, journals, and press releases to gather information for newsletter content.
• Collaborate with our design team to create visually appealing and engaging newsletters, ensuring that content is presented in an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly manner.
• Coordinate with designers on the placement of images, graphics, and other visual elements.
• Develop strategies to enhance reader engagement and increase the subscriber base.
• Stay updated on regulatory guidelines and ethical considerations relevant to pharmaceutical communications. Ensure all content meets legal and compliance standards, including copyright laws, data privacy, and disclosure requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including writers, designers, marketers, and subject matter experts, to gather input and insights for content creation. Coordinate deadlines, manage editorial calendars, and ensure timely delivery of newsletters.
• Monitor the performance of the newsletter by analyzing engagement metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, and reader feedback.
• Use data-driven insights to improve content quality and engagement strategies.

• Bachelor\'s degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, journalism, communications, or a related field. A higher degree or specialization in pharmaceuticals is a plus.
• Proven experience as an editor, preferably in the healthcare industry or a related scientific field.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, drug development processes, clinical trials, and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with scientific journals, databases, and reputable pharmaceutical news sources.
• Proficiency in using content management systems, email marketing platforms, and design software.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High ethical standards and awareness of compliance requirements in pharmaceutical communications.
