Job Outline:

To support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) operations and collaborate with stakeholders to promote compliance with Malaysia EHS regulatory requirements, SPMY EHS Management System requirements, and general industry best practices.

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

1. MUST be a registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) and a) Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) or b) DOE registered Certified Environment Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM). DOSH registered Authorized Gas Tester (AGT) or DOSH registered Ergonomic Trained Person will be an added advantage.
2. Subject matter expert of Malaysia regulations (OSHA (Amendment) Act 2022, Poison Act 1952, Atomic Energy Licensing Act 1984, Fire Service Act 1988, Uniform Building By-Laws 1984, Environmental Quality Act 1974) and EHS Management System (ISO14001, ISO45001) with experience in management system audits.
3. In depth knowledge in
a) occupational safety programs (e.g. HIRAC, equipment safety, Lock-out Tag-out, process safety, confined space), contractor safety (e.g. working at height, permit to

work, powered industrial truck) and emergency response programs (e.g. e.g. evacuation procedures, fire protection system, toxic gas monitoring system, chemical

spill).
b) environmental and sustainability programs (e.g. environmental aspect/impact, air emission, industrial effluents, scheduled waste, general waste, carbon footprint).
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (Conditional Formatting, Pivot tables & Pivot Reporting, Data Table) and Power point.
5. The successful candidate must have the project management skill, ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizing and analytical ability, demonstrate effective problem solving, able to influence others and can work independently. A proactive self-starter and team player.
6. To commit and perform to other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company from time to time.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Liaise with external organization on EHS compliance matters, including, but not limited to DOSH, DOE, Bomba, Dept. of Pharmacy, FM Global.
2. Perform duties as stipulated in Part V Duties of Safety and Health Officers of Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1997.
3. Ensure SPMY operations are complying to various regulations and Maxeon Corporate EHS requirement.
4. Manages assigned EHS programs and internal and external stakeholders.
5. Perform risk assessment, execute periodic audits/inspections, conduct training, promote EHS awareness and manage emergency response/drills.
6. Compliance and evaluation of program performance including data analysis and chemical mass balance to drive continual improvement.
7. Lead in the investigation of accident/incident and EHS non-compliances thereafter to provide technical regulatory guidance/ support through a systematic approach using tools such as 8D.
8. Consolidate sustainability data and validate governance for inclusion in Maxeon\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability performance.

Minimum Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental) or Science.
2. More than 5 years (Bachelor Degree) or -2 years (Master Degree) related working experience. Prior work experience in solar/semiconductor fab environment will be an added advantage.
