RESPONSIBILITIES/SCOPE OF WORKS
Install and supervise the installation of electrical wiring in buildings, plants, and infrastructure.
Connect, test, and ensure safe operation of circuit breakers, outlets, switches, lighting systems, and control panels.
Interpret, review, and verify electrical blueprints, diagrams, and instrumentation drawings before execution.
Plan, assign, and monitor daily tasks for E&I technicians to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
Test and inspect electrical and instrumentation systems for safety, reliability, and compliance with standards.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and lead repair of electrical and instrumentation faults, equipment, and control systems.
Maintain, calibrate, and upgrade existing wiring, electrical components, instruments, and automation systems.
Ensure all work complies with local/national electrical codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
Oversee the safe and effective use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment by the team.
Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety procedures, especially when working with live circuits.
Collaborate with plant operations, engineers, contractors, and construction teams to resolve technical issues.
Review and validate documentation, reports, and job completion records prepared by the team.
Set up and manage temporary power systems at construction and plant sites.
Monitor and enforce adherence to plant policies, repair procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with plant operations to plan, prioritize, and evaluate both routine and emergency electrical & instrumentation work.
Lead and guide technicians by providing technical support, on-the-job training, and mentoring.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend long-term solutions for recurring equipment failures.
Manage tools, spare parts, and materials to ensure availability for scheduled and emergency works.
Encourage peers and team members to adopt established safety codes, practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Report directly to supervisors/management on project status, workforce performance, and maintenance activities.
REQUIREMENT
Candidate must possess at least certificates of electrical or equivalent
Have at least 3-5 years relevant working experiences in Oil & Gas
Shall be based in RPCM, Kuantan
The salary for this position shall be paid at an hourly rate
Good written and verbal communication skills and proficient in the Malay and intermediate in English
Basic mechanical and electrical competence and troubleshooting skills added value
Able to work overtime
Possess positive work attitude, ex-static, fast learner, hardworking, able to accept new challenges, responsible, trustworthy and might contribute new ideas for company growth
