KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop, review and update engineering design/construction standards on underground and overhead (UG & OH) systems
• Evaluate and make recommendations for new materials and equipment for UG & OH systems applications in SESCO\'s T & D systems
• Review and update the existing technical specifications for T & D UG & OH assets
• Perform analysis and monitor/report performance of individual UG & OH assets to ensure compliance with technical specifications
• Perform site audits to ensure compliance with the established engineering standards
• Conduct technical engagement for sharing of engineering knowledge
• Perform failure investigation of significant incident and make necessary recommendations for corrective actions

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Power Engineering or other related discipline) from Universities and Institutions of Higher Learning recognized by the Company
• Preferably with 2 years of working with some field experience in the regions, especially on operation & maintenance activities

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure
• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines
• To increase the level of competency of technicians and engineering assistant to enable them to widen their knowledge and respective level of authorities when implementing technical works in the field
• To acquaint oneself with the latest technologies and best practices
