KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Planning and coordinating projects at initiation, concept, and pre-engineering phase of hydropower development.
• Preparing guidelines and best practices for design and construction of civil structures for hydropower projects.
• Provide technical support to ensure that designs are fit for purpose and compliance with standard engineering codes and regulations.
• Ensure hydro best practices, IHA, HSAP, SEIA and social and resettlement considerations.
• Prepare technical and management reports.
• Prepare tender design document and perform tender evaluation exercise.
• Perform risk identification/assessment and provide mitigation actions.
• Provide planning on schedule, methods, materials, interface and logistics.
• Prepare bill of quantities and cost estimation.
• Coach and mentor junior Hydro professionals.
• Ensure contractors, consultants and other stakeholders comply to the HSSE and SOP requirement.
• Proactive in Project Delivery Excellence, Digitalisation and Commercial Excellence.

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES:

• Manage and communicate with key project stakeholders: - both internal (eg. Business, Hydro AO, C&P, L&W, Legal, Finance, etc.) and external (eg. Consultants, Contractors, relevant Government Agencies/Authorities, etc.)
• Adapt to any project changes and conform to the latest requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate high learning agility to not only be knowledgeable of technical aspects of projects; and other key non-technical aspects (eg. commercial, ESG, sustainability etc.).

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering with minimum 6 to 8 years job experience pertaining to hydroelectric power facilities and/or dams will be added advantage.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
