KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Direct and coordinates the operation of plant.
• Assure compliance with system operation orders promulgated and issued by both the Company as well as Buyer.
• Assist in formulating plant operating policies.
• Manage the permit to work system.
• Deploy engineering and industrial resources to meet day to day system operation and plant conditions.
• Liaise and coordinate operation arrangement between buyer and the plant.
• Supervise the performance of the plant control room as a communications and monitoring centre.
• Establish maintenance programs and standard operating procedures.
• Set up defect management, hazard identification, and defect elimination programs.
• Plan, schedule and manage electrical routine, preventive and predictive maintenance of the plants and equipment.
• Plan, organize and execute electrical inspection/repair/overhaul safely and successfully within planned duration and budget.
• Analyze maintenance works performance and make suggestions to improve operational efficiency.
• Recommend for any improvement to plant equipment Electrical and Instrument that would improve the safety and quality of the maintenance work.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely and availability of parts, materials, special tools, etc.
• Ensure maintenance/overhaul records are maintained and recorded for historical purposes and to document performance metrics for the maintenance activities.
• Identify Maintenance related risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with Statutory Body such as DOSH, DOE, NREB etc. for inspection, audit, permission application, investigation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Comply with all requirements regarding the Quality & Environmental Manual.
• Perform internal audit for various ISO Systems, Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO14001 Environmental Management System.

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from universities and institutions of higher learning recognized by the MQA
• Minimum 6 to 8 years relevant working experience
• Registered with IEM as Corporate Member and BEM as Professional Engineer
