1. KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Senior Engineer, Development Planning works in multi-disciplinary team to carry out various field development studies and scenarios & costs derivation for the assigned projects, taking into account governing factors, environmental impact, subsurface aspects, surface aspects and economics assessment. The job holder performs the activities related to the short, medium and long-term development planning of the field to derive optimal asset values including development project management and coordination to achieve project objective and plan
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Develop a strategic plan with the objective of maximizing benefit for development project
  • Manage and coordinate development project to achieve project objective and manage all technical assurance process and required FDP & project governance for both internal and external parties
  • Conduct development studies (Preliminary, Feasibility, Conceptual, and Pre-Project) and recommend the optimal Field Development Plan for management decision.
  • Conduct technical studies to support preparation of Field Development Plans and Innovative Development.
  • Perform various business analysis including strength, weakness, opportunity, and technological analysis to determine effective strategic plans.
  • Promote new, innovative technologies on new domains to reduce development cost.
  • Support in technical coordination with external parties including JV partners
  • Develop optimized development and production plans, taking into account all controlling parameters in technical and economical aspects.
  • Provide support to required projects/assets in preparation of Five-Year Plan and Budget, Field Long-Term Development Plans, Business Development Plans.
  • Represent in various technical meetings for the discussion and presentation on the development studies.
3. KEY AUTHORITIES
  • Ensure that the complete picture of field development options had been considered and studied. Recommend the optimum field development option, taking into account the technical and financial aspects.
  • Ensure that field development plan maximizes the economic recovery of hydrocarbons while paying due regard to the environment. Produce appropriate economic indices to support the assets\' decision-making.
  • Accuracy, reliability and timeliness of development studies, for reliable analysis of development scenarios, and reference documents output.
  • Contribute to the 5-year and long-term field development plan preparation for assigned assets.
  • Contribute to the effective coordination between Brownfield & Greenfield Assets such asset planning, production operations, subsurfaceGeology, Drilling, Production, Reservoir and support department such well operations, engineering and all related functions pre-project team by integrating their requirements in the long-termed plan.
  • Safe and efficient operations through careful follow-up of activities. Proper action in emergency situations.

7. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering, or related fields.
  • 10 years\' experience in Process /Petroleum Engineering or related field with broad knowledge of petroleum economics.
  • Fluent in English and excellent in report writing.
  • Broad computer knowledge.
  • Experience in various development projects, and project valuation and asset management
