KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible and accountable as a team member working closely with the Project Delivery team for the interest of the asset owner as an effective and efficient project technical support including feasibility studies, tender design specification preparation and proposal evaluation, ensuring contractor and vendor\'s design to compliance and testing/commissioning of plants/equipment.
• Responsible to provide service for scope, plan, budget, execute and close the auxiliary project for Hydro Station projects.
• Plans for project technical needs including implementation schedule and performs evaluation of options, provides technical coordination to project activities implementation to ensure work results/objectives are being met.
• Establish and implement good practices for civil engineering during the design-engineering and construction of hydro projects.
• Manage the engineering design and specifications including specifying of quality, environmental, safety and health requirements; and direct and manage the construction quality assurance and quality control process.
• Monitor and control by willing to travel on-site during critical millstones events.
• To coordinate with the asset owners, authorities and regulators, consultants, contractors and vendors on the project including schedule of works, commissioning and handing over.
• To ensure that the project\'s process documents are issued and complete; accordingly update and current, and are properly registered, categorised, filed and archived.
• Participates in technical meeting including updating project technical progress report regularly and interpret/prepare engineering schematic single lines and drawings.
• To monitor and control closely on project progress and contractors site safety compliance during execution phase.
• To ensure projects are completed on time in compliance to statutory requirement, good engineering practices and within contract specification for satisfactory operation and maintenance.
• Provide response to document reviews within agreed timeframe.

QUALIFICATION:

• Degree in Civil Engineering from Universities or Institutions of Higher Learning recognized by MQA/JPA;
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia.

SKILLS:

• Possessed knowledge in project management.
• Possess minimum 7 years of experience working on Civil technical and engineering aspects and auxiliary power plant projects in the various project phases (concept, engineering and construction).
• Experienced in managing power projects and in the various project phases.
• Able to work in a highly pressure and fast-paced environment.
• Good Knowledge in the use of project management skill, methods, techniques and practices to plan, monitor, risk mitigate and take corrective actions to deliver objectives on time, cost, quality and safety.
• Good in analytical skills and in related knowledge and use in the prioritizing of tasks, and in decision making and problem solving.
• Wide knowledge to develop best practices in related areas of work processes.
• Good in written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skill, planning & organizing capability.
• Computer literacy and skills -software (AutoCAD, word, spreadsheet, presentation, pdf).
• Able to interpret and analyses engineering drawings including provide interfacing solution.
• Possess professional initiatives, positive, proactive and integrity attitude.

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
• Regular travels required. Candidate will also be expected to be based at station on-site as and when required.
