• Play key roles in setting relevant goals for the division in promoting green and renewable energy resources that align with the department and corporate aspirations.
• Develop strategies and plans to achieve the set vision and deliver continuous growth of the division.
• Lead a team of innovators in exploring new, state-of the-art technologies in the areas of clean energy generation and the implementation.
• Manage and lead the implementation of innovative projects with involvement of members across the department and/or external stakeholders, with expectation of completing tasks to the best industry standards.
• Conduct detailed assessments via analytical technical skills and apply commercial consideration for projects to ensure the new design and specifications of a solution in solving real-world problems.
• Directly assist the Head of Department (HoD) in performing the managerial tasks for the division such as budget planning, manpower planning, resources allocation, and daily operation.
• Play active roles to assist the department and corporate to inculcate innovative culture among the staff and stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of technological advancement in the relevant areas through continuous self-studies, research, training and/or internship.
• Help develop the competency level of the team such as providing coaching and training to ensure they have capacities to achieve the collective aspirations of the division.
• Build strong collaboration network with relevant local and international research institutions and expertise to add value to the division\'s work.
• Participate and represent the department and corporate at technical events and conferences to share ideas and new insights, to support branding of the company at that stage.
• Deepen knowledge level of a specific technical area(s) of interest towards becoming the subject matter expert (SME) for the company.
• Coaching the junior peers.

• Possess good insights on the various innovation models and processes and the ability to translate some of these into actionable initiatives.
• Acknowledge the importance of value creation and value capture in innovation work.
• Resourceful and apply various technical and engineering knowledge into the conceptual proposal of a solution to solve complex real-world problem.
• Good analytical skills to synthesise data generated from a studied project and able to make use of the summary outcomes for the next decision making for the following stage.
• Apply relevant project management knowledge and skills to effectively manage and complete various project phases.
• Build effective teams and foster high performance culture among team members and others to achieve shared goals or common objectives.
• Empower and inspire high level of enthusiasm when undertaking challenges.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in a technical subject with minimum 7 years of relevant experience in field of managing technical work or research projects that deal with engineering and technical work.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
