Status


POSITION : Senior Engineer, Subsea Project REPORTING TO : Head of Development Project Section DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : Malaysia Engineering and Construction Department LOCATION : KL Office

1. KEY OBJECTIVES


  • Management of the Subsea Hardware EPC Contract.
  • The SS trees and installation tooling are designed, constructed and installed to project specifications and within the agreed schedule and budget.
  • The interface between the SS hardware and installation tooling and other contracts (primarily drilling contract) is properly managed and functional offshore.


2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Manage / administer the delivery and installation of the SS hardware on time and to budget.
  • Initiate Management of Change (MOC) process for the SS hardware supply.
  • Monitor Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s schedule and overall progress and work directly with EPC Contractor to resolve progress issues.
  • Participate in Project wide Interface Management.
  • Provide Technical support during subsea installation and commissioning.
  • Provide weekly / monthly progress reports to the KL Home Office.
  • Manage SS tree site budget.


3. KEY AUTHORITIES


  • Approve all \xe2\x80\x9cwork performed\xe2\x80\x9d at site for invoicing purposes.
  • First line Approval of technical exceptions presented by the SS EPC Contractor at site.
  • Provide single-point day to day interface with the SS EPC contractor at site.


4. WORKING RELATIONSHIP


  • Reports directly to the Head of Subsea Engineering, keeping him informed of progress at the SS hardware manufacturing sites.
  • Works with other disciplines to ensure engineering data between the various contracts is properly communicated.
  • Works directly with EPC Contractor site engineers to ensure technical specifications are adhered to and cost and delivery of hardware is managed.
  • Works with project drilling and completions team to ensure that all tree installation interfaces are addressed prior to equipment


5. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Degree in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in upstream oil & gas project management.
  • Experience with manufacture, testing and installation of Subsea Trees.
  • Experience in acting as Operating Company site representative in a project team.
  • Experience liaising with a large, international EPCIC contractor.
  • Experience of managing the primary interface between subsea hardware suppliers and drilling contractor.
  • Ability to travel with little or no notice to remote locations to handle design, construction or contractual issues.
  • Capable in the following computer programs:
    • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project).
  • Strong communication skills with experience working in a multi-national environment.
