Senior Subsea Project Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Department: Development - Deepwater

Contract: 2-year Fixed Term Direct Hire

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Salary / Package: Monthly salary in MYR

The Role:

• Management of the Subsea Hardware EPC Contract.
• The SS trees and installation tooling are designed, constructed and installed to project specifications and within the agreed schedule and budget.
• The interface between the SS hardware and installation tooling and other contracts (primarily drilling contracts) is properly managed and functional offshore.

• Manage / administer the delivery and installation of the SS hardware on time and within budget.
• Initiate the Management of Change (MOC) process for the SS hardware supply.
• Monitor the Contractor's schedule and overall progress and work directly with EPC Contractor to resolve progress issues.
• Participate in Project-wide Interface Management.
• Provide Technical support during subsea installation and commissioning.
• Provide weekly / monthly progress reports to the KL Home Office.
• Manage SS tree site budget.

• Degree in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in upstream oil & gas project management.
• Experience with manufacture, testing and installation of Subsea Trees.
• Experience in acting as Operating Company site representative in a project team.
• Experience liaising with a large, international EPCIC contractor.
• Experience of managing the primary interface between subsea hardware suppliers and drilling contractors.
• Ability to travel with little or no notice to remote locations to handle design, construction or contractual issues.
• Capable in the following computer programs:

• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project).
• Strong communication skills with experience working in a multinational environment.
