POSITION : Senior Specialist (SCC Extraction - PGH/BZU)
REPORTING TO : Head (MTBE/BDU/Offsite)

LOCATION : Pengerang, Johor 1. Job Purpose
Lead and Manage process and technology performance, optimization, improvement as well as providing operational support and technical advice for safe, reliable and optimum operation of the PyGas Hydrogenation Unit (\xe2\x80\x9cPGH\xe2\x80\x9d) and Benzene Extraction Unit (\xe2\x80\x9cBZU\xe2\x80\x9d) resided within the perimeter of Steam Cracker Complex (\xe2\x80\x9cSCC\xe2\x80\x9d), throughout its lifecycle to allow for smooth operation of the Steam Cracker Complex at its intended production capacity and product quality while meeting the regulatory Requirement 2. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
\xc2\xb7 A degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with minimum 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in oil and gas industry.

\xc2\xb7 Lead the improvement identification and technical studies to acquire approval for plant modifications by evaluating technical and commercial feasibility options to achieve improvements in area of plant energy efficiency and operational flexibility, compliance to HSE requirement including the selection of new technology app
\xc2\xb7 Lead the process monitoring by identifying unit/process potential problem through analysis of critical operating parameters, troubleshooting anomalies and recommending proactive measures by improving operating procedures/parameters/guidelines to avoid potential problems from escalating and sustaining safe, reliable and optimum plant operation.
\xc2\xb7 Lead and plan the execution of PGH/BZU facility improvement and optimization study by identifying potential benefit using applicable simulation tools, performing plant/facility trial run, identifying plant/unit performance limitations, reviewing lesson learn and adopt best practices as well as investigating and establishing improved operating guidelines to ensure optimum plant performance, maximize value creation and minimize operating cost.
\xc2\xb7 Lead and plan the commissioning and start-up activities of improvement or modification project and chemical and media loading through effective collaboration and coordination with Engineering team, Operation team and Contractors, as well as ensuring construction is as per design and compliance to project specifications and standards to achieve smooth commissioning, start-up and performance testing of the facility with quality and standard while complying with the statutory regulations and business objectives in a safe and effective manner.
\xc2\xb7 Lead and contribute to technical governance compliance by chairing and/ or participating in Process Design Review, Process Risk Assessment (e.g. HAZOP, PHA etc.), technical standards and follow through Management of Change process to ensure safe and reliable plant modification and operation in conformance to HSE standards, sound engineering practices, and statutory requirements.
\xc2\xb7 Lead or participate in plant incident investigation by providing technical/process input in determining the failure mechanism, establishing the root causes and recommending practical corrective actions for process improvement and avoidance recurrence of similar incident.
\xc2\xb7 Lead and provide technical supports during turnaround for equipment inspection on existing/new equipment, capturing any abnormalities/defect, providing technical recommendations, updating process database, preparing procedure for major/special tasks as well as ensuring construction is as per design and compliance to project specifications and standards and lead technical evaluation for new feedstock/waste management post startup and coordinating Performance Test Run (PTR), to ensure successful completion of turnaround/ start up and smooth subsequent operating cycle.
\xc2\xb7 Develop and update technical training modules & plan by benchmarking to the best practices while keeping abreast with latest technology as well as conducting training to upgrade the technical knowledge and capabilities of technical staff to become specialist. Job Type: Contract Salary: RM2,375.24 - RM17,656.01 per month Schedule:
