Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on a broad range of
employee and industrial relations (ER/IR) matters
, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Manage disciplinary cases by conducting investigations into alleged misconduct, preparing the required documentation, and recommending appropriate actions to ensure timely case closure.
Support the development, interpretation, and implementation of
company policies, procedures, labor relations, contract administration, grievance handling, employee counseling, and disciplinary processes
.
Design and deliver
training programs
for managers and employees on ER/IR policies, procedures, and legal obligations, fostering compliance and accountability.
Represent the company in engagements with
regulatory bodies, arbitrators, mediators, or auditors
, advocating organizational interests while upholding legal and ethical standards.
Maintain accurate and confidential records related to ER/IR activities, ensuring compliance with
data protection regulations
.
Stay updated on
employment laws, regulations, and industry trends
, providing timely advice to management on compliance requirements and best practices.
Develop and implement
employee relations strategies and programs
to foster a positive workplace culture, build harmonious labor relations, and drive improvements in employee engagement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Diploma/Advanced Diploma with at least
5 years of relevant experience
, or a
Bachelor's degree
in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Preferably with experience in
employee relations, labor relations, or industrial relations
.
Strong knowledge of
employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
, with the ability to apply policies fairly and consistently.
Excellent
communication skills
, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing business needs.
Ability to manage
multiple priorities
in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to handle
sensitive and confidential information
with discretion and integrity.
Proficiency in
data analysis and Microsoft Excel
.
Experience in
internal and external audits
, especially with
Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)
requirements.
Preferably with exposure to a
unionized environment
.
Experience or knowledge in
collective bargaining negotiations and processes
is a distinct advantage.
