About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic

Head of Estimating (Structural & Architectural)

to lead the estimation and bidding process for large-scale projects. This senior-level role is critical in ensuring cost-effective, accurate, and timely preparation of technical and commercial proposals to maximize bid success rates. You will play a key leadership role, working closely with technical and commercial teams, supply chain, and management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the estimation team in developing competitive and complete bid proposals for Structural and Architectural works. Review ITB documents, prepare bid strategies, and ensure all client requirements and specifications are met. Oversee RFQs, technical clarifications, and evaluations (TBE/CBE) from vendors and subcontractors. Analyze and benchmark cost estimates using historical data and lessons learned from past projects. Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to gather accurate pricing and vendor quotations. Ensure comprehensive qualification statements and scope coverage to safeguard company interests. Coordinate the preparation of Budget Summaries and Project Budget Books for management decision-making. Manage and verify data inputs from supporting departments to maintain data integrity and alignment with project scope. Review responses to post-bid technical clarifications to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in estimation, with at least 8 years in a lead role within Structural/Architectural projects (preferably in the Oil & Gas industry).

Additional Information

Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously. Must be proactive in resolving incomplete or ambiguous tender details. Must keep up with market trends and pricing benchmarks.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM15,000.00 per month
