Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Assist Finance Manager in planning and managing the accounting and management accounting functions and operations including day-to-day operational issues, to ensure statutory reports, financial statements and management reports are prepared accurately, timely and completely.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Performs the execution of the preparation of yearly OPEX and revenue budget of assigned subsidiary - MA (Sepang).
• Performs the allocation of approved budget to cost centre/profit centre.
• Performs the execution of monitoring of OPEX budget utilisation including Budget Transfers.
• Performs the execution of the cross functions with other divisions ( for tender evaluations)
• Performs the execution of monthly closing of MA (Sepang)\'s accounts including raising of journals
• Performs the execution of the Funds Management system and ensure that the accurate & complete data are posted.
• Performs the cashflow balance for Advertising & Promotion Fund for Cash Management, Debtors Monitoring and Payment monitoring.
• Attends to the external, internal audit queries and matters. Compiling all information required for interim and Final Audit which is to be provided in Auditor\'s format / schedules.
• Performs that the Audit queries are properly served timely and effectively.
• Performs monthly Performance Management accounts and Analytical review.
• Provide information to Treasury for Cash flow preparation.
• Performs Monthly Performance Management Report as and when required by MA (Sepang)\'s operational team.
• Performs BFIC report & presentation slides (OPEX).
• Attends to queries, requests, issues forwarded by the operational team of MA (Sepang).
• Verifies the Verification forms prepared by cost centres for payments.
• Attend to GM, BP Advisors, GM MA (Sepang) and COE\'s queries and requests as and when required.
• Be prepared to stand by for BFIC meetings and Board of MA (Sepang) meetings.
• Attend to External parties for quarterly statistic data.

Key Challenges

• Meeting the deadline for preparing monthly Performance Management Report, monthly Analytical review,
• To gather information from all cost centres with regard to tax / audit issues/queries.
• Attending to queries and issues forwarded by operational team.

Skills

• Possess working experience in handling full sets of accounts.
• Possess analytical mind.
• Able to handle pressure to meet tight deadlines set for closing of accounts and reporting to various stakeholders.
• Good written and verbal communications with different levels of staff
• Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with senior managers
• Computer literate especially in working with spreadsheets as reporting tools, exposure to using enterprise system e.g. SAP and preparing slides for presentations to deliver key messages.

External

• Degree preferably in Accounting/Finance

Unique Requirement

• Professional Qualification (ICAA, ICAEW, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
