The Senior Executive, Finance will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, particularly in relation to personal financing or loan services provided through government bodies, cooperatives (Koperasi), and salary deduction schemes (such as ANGKASA). The role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, loan disbursement processes, collection monitoring, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor cash flow, budget utilization, and fund allocation for loan disbursement.
Ensure accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper documentation of financial activities.
Prepare management reports and financial performance analysis for decision-making.
Loan & Collection Accounting
Oversee disbursement of personal loans via ANGKASA, Koperasi, or government-linked agencies.
Reconcile loan disbursement, repayment schedules, and deductions from payroll (Biro Angkasa / Koperasi).
Work closely with credit and operations teams to ensure accurate financial recording of loan accounts.
Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure healthy cash flow.
Generate and verify monthly deduction files (for ANGKASA / Koperasi) and ensure timely submission.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
Track actual performance against budget and highlight variances.
Support management in strategic financial planning and profitability analysis.
Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Bank Negara Malaysia, MOF, Audit, and tax regulations).
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities.
Maintain proper internal controls and financial discipline across all finance activities.
Other Duties
Support management in financial due diligence, funding arrangements, and investor reporting.
Supervise junior finance staff where applicable.
Contribute to system improvements and automation initiatives for finance operations.
Requirements:
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or MIA membership is an added advantage).
Experience:
Minimum
3-5 years
working experience in finance or accounting; preferably in a
financial institution, cooperative, or company dealing with ANGKASA/Koperasi personal loan schemes
.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS).
Proficient in accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, etc.) and MS Excel.
Familiar with loan portfolio management and payroll deduction systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently with high integrity and attention to detail.
