Oversee and manage all financial operations at Kuching International Airport and Free Commercial Zone (FCZ) on a timely basis; properly and accurately accounted
ESSENTIAL POSITION
Ensure that all finance (AR/AP/SD) and procurement (MM) activities of the airport are properly accounted for; timely processed and complied to company\'s requirements. These activities among others will include:
Accurate SD\'s sales orders and ensure billing are correctly taken into system.
Perform checking and reconciliation on daily collections received
Monitor all debtor account\'s reconciliation to follow up on old and slow moving debts
Monitor status on debtors and creditors listing
Monitor outstanding bank reconciliation items and update the status to Group of Finance
Timely and accurate submission of monthly accrual report to HQ on revenue and expenditure
To report monthly on aeronautical revenue performance of the airport
Ensure that annual proposed budget on revenue/expenditure/asset/capex/others for the airport is done on a timely basis. The activities include:
To compile the yearly budget from each unit
To compile the annual budget for two business area - pen & fcz
To liaise with head of units on budget guidelines or issues
To monitor and report monthly budget availability for the airport and to advise management it falls below the budgeted revenue/ expenditure
Represent finance unit at necessary meetings; eg. Airport management meeting; project
Manage annually and half-yearly the risk exposure on finance unit in mars and Business Continuity Management (BCM)
Member of the airport procurement committee
Manage ISO QMS as management representative to all staff and to comply also with ISO EMS and OHSA\'s requirements
Administer finance unit on all matters; especially on recording leave record
Required to perform PMS setting; mid-term review and year-end appraisal for all finance\'s staff
Attend to any ad hoc assignments and other activities as and when required by the supervisor
Key Challenges
Reduce customer complaints by ensuring timely submission and accuracy of our invoices
Improve on debt collection except for commercial and FCZ customers
Ensure compliance with financial, legal and statutory requirements
Manage QMS on quality to all company\'s staff
Cope with the additional financial activities with the creation of FCZ unit
Skills
Good command both written and spoken in Bahasa Malaysia and English
Knowledgeable in SAP\'s accounting system
