Responsible for daily accounting functions, maintain accurate accounting entry into accounting systems and managing day-to-day financial and accounting. Responsible for more complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing financial statements and report. Responsible of monthly management financial reports, inter-co reconciliation and assist on statutory reporting including audit reports and tax computation. To ensure accounting records are properly maintained and reconciled. To ensure compliance of Company policy and procedures and statutory requirements, To maintain a proper filing system for accounting records related documents. Assist in liaise with internal & external auditors, tax agent, company secretary, banker and other relevant third parties. Perform value-adding tasks as and when assigned by superior from time to time. Key Responsibilities Property development and construction industry Perform in checking and verification on invoices and progress claim received from contractors/consultants/suppliers with proper approval in accordance to SOP and LOA. Perform data entry in the system. Key in data entry with proper ledger account and allocation in order to ensure all is comply with statutory requirements such as accounting standards and public ruling. Timely preparation of payment upon receipt of complete documents and the payments have been released based on allocation for payment and cash flow position. Monitor all cash flow issues and perform treasury functions on daily operation. Check and verify the correctness of transactions (Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable/ Cash Book/ General Ledger) and post into GL Module. Monitor all HDA accounts and ensures all funds are drawn in accordance to the Housing Development Act. Constantly liaise with Credit Control Department in terms of collection from customer of respective projects and/ or purchaser. Prepare revenue recognition for the companies\xe2\x80\x99 project in accordance with MFRS 15, Revenue. To ensure data completeness and accuracy imported from front end system to capture correct sales, discount and credit notes for the computation. Prepare all journal vouchers for month end closing. Sound technical property/construction knowledge to perform monthly closing of account by 10th each month. Ensure timely loan facilities are utilized in efficient manner. Monitor repayment of term loan interest as well as repayment of term loan - to ensure cash availability to cater for such purpose. Perform monthly bank reconciliation and related party transactions report by quarterly basis. Assist superior in year-end closing/audit and annual tax return (e.g.: preparation of working paper for external auditors, drafting audited financial statements and providing the necessary information for preparation of tax computation by tax agent. Ad-hoc matters when is required (e.g. : Tax Audit). The Succesfull Applicant The succesfull candidate will be confident in leading the business and steering the company to the most profitable position while implementing its vision, mission and long term goals. The candidate must possess the requirements below: Minimum 4-5 years related working experience, preferably in property development or construction industry. Audit experience would be an added advantage. Knowledge and skills in accounting system will be added value. Excellent in analytical and problem solving skills. Sound understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) especially in property development and construction. Meticulous, independent and committed. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Excel and PowerPoint. Good written and verbal communications skills. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
