The key responsibilities are to execute and deliver the following activities:i) Stakeholders Management

  • Manage strategic information requests from external (MUT, Federal Government Ministries, Energy Commission, EPU, SPU, SFS, etc.) and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate engagement with external stakeholders in response to strategic matters.
  • Consolidate relevant KPIs reporting to the Ministry.
  • Establish good relationships with internal and external stakeholders for alliance and partnership management.
ii) Strategy Cascading and Roll-out (including supporting 6KFA)
  • Communicate organizational alignment for a consistent view of strategy and clarity around the common goal.
  • Serve as the central scorecard resource, consulting with units on their scorecard development and conducting training and education.
  • Review and analyse the cascading process of KPIs to ensure alignment from HOD to Executive level and to ensure they are geared towards the achievement of the key KPIs at Corporate/ Departmental levels/Key Focus Area (KFA).
  • Ensure delivery of business process improvement initiatives and business strategy alignment.
  • Integrate cross-functional teams together to deliver prioritized initiatives.
  • Provide support to monitor the progress of short term KFA targets (including prioritized CI initiatives) and objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency, safety, and quality are met. This includes to analyse the value/ benefits of delivery of high impact initiatives to drive commercial excellence.
iii) Information Database Management
  • Managing and updating internal and external databases on information requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data analysis for benchmarking and study purposes to leverage competitive advantage in maintaining and capturing business opportunities.
CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
  • Understanding overall business strategy & direction.
  • Manage stakeholders\' expectations and conflicts in a complex stakeholder environment and address key issues that arise.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in utility business is essential.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Sound understanding of business analysis for setting strategic/ business plans and supporting decision making in the areas of strategic planning.
  • Analytical skills with problem-solving aptitude covering strategic, technical, and complex issues.
  • Strong written & oral communication skills to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders\' expectations and conflicts in a complex stakeholder environment and address key issues that arise.
  • Ability to interpret the meaning of complex and unstructured analysis through application of value based decision making to achieve Sarawak Energy\'s objectives and maximise value delivery.
  • Proficient and have high knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
