  • Assist in the development, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and review of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework within SEB Group inclusive strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Implement the ERM program and initiatives within SEB Group, with significant knowledge of business processes, and risk exposure across the operations, businesses, and functions in SEB Group, and able to identify and propose risk action plans.
  • Design, develop, and implement thorough risk assessments, analytics, and impact analyses inclusive processes, procedures, controls, and proposed mitigations, and integrate this work into ERM and other relevant frameworks in the organisation.
  • Conduct a periodic review of risk registers, impact parameters, and action plans in the businesses and functions, and the organisation as a whole.
  • Explore and be able to use tools and techniques to effectively identify and assess risks and emerging trends.
  • Conduct education program, training, guiding, mentoring, and coaching Head Risk Controllers, Risk Controllers, SEB employees, and Management on specific ERM responsibilities to ensure they are adequately equipped to fulfill their assigned roles and responsibilities.
  • Serve as a facilitator, and liaison with all business units and corporate support functions within SEB Group, actively building and cultivating strong connections and partnerships.
  • Provide assistance in executing the roles and responsibilities as an internal ERM consultant providing advisory on ERM requirements and working with relevant stakeholders on existing Business-As-Usual activities to ensure tactical, operational, and strategic issues pertaining to ERM are addressed.
  • Keep abreast with current Laws and regulations including the Companies Act, MACC Amendment Act 2018, Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance, ISO31000, and any other relevant ISOs or standards, and best practices in risk management as benchmarking for SEB.
  • This includes the search for information, up-to-date trends, tools, best practice techniques, and methodologies.
  • Keep up to date with initiatives, operations, and organisation structure in SEB Group to obtain information and data for achievement of unit\'s and division\'s objectives.
  • Collect, compile, analyse, and update statistics and other pertinent inter and intra-company data for usage in risk management work.
  • Monitor and follow up on risk action plans (RAPs) review with the Risk Controllers, Risk Owners, Co-Risk Owners, and Person-in-charge of the RAPs, and to ensure timely submission of the RAP Progress Reports by specified dates.
  • Prepare documentation, schedule works, co-ordinate the administration and logistics, effective communication for conducting risk assessment and action planning workshops, risk awareness sessions/briefings, and training on risk management and the usage of the risk management software application system.
  • Assist as the central coordinating liaison on SEB\'s ERM in dealing with third parties.
  • Actively initiate, implement, and participate in corporate initiatives for the unit, division, department, or company.
THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES:
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of power utility business, business planning, and strategy development.
  • Ability to understand broader business issues.
  • Substantial knowledge in risk management inclusive processes, risks, controls, standards, best practices, analytics, and trends.
  • Good project planning and management skills.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, report writing, and presentation skills and a strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills, and information-gathering capabilities from internal and/or external sources.
  • IT Savvy - Proficient in at least Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, and SAP and able to learn new applications quickly.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Risk Management, Management or Business Studies, Finance or Economics, Science, Statistics, Engineering, Law or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years relevant working experience.
  • Certifications in Risk Management and Business Continuity, may also be beneficial.
