Job Description

• Business today has shifted towards Sustainability and dollar and cents (economic driven) are not the entire purpose of MAHB existence. Hence the position is able to support day-to-day management of sustainability matters and projects & initiatives. Regular planning, execution, evaluation and monitoring with an eye to continuous improvement. The position is value-add to MAHB as it will uphold MAHB name and brand and to ensure that MAHB is inline and supports the UN and Malaysia Agenda.
• Develop standard operating procedures and guidelines for the department, contribute a series of papers which include business plan and budget and proposals
• Support key initiatives for sustainability partnerships
• Continuous research for current sustainability trends, e-bulletin & look out for potential partnerships
• To oversee all aspect of sustainability\'s programmes/initiatives & has reasonable understanding of the aviation industry
• Involve in the development of sustainability strategies that ensure that business practices, processes are in accordance with the sustainability policy and framework
• Responsible to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders
• Play an important role in strategy development and implementation
• Have passion in innovation and development of new approaches in stakeholder engagement and any other green initiatives
• Continuous follow up on data collection and analysis

• To conduct research within the sustainability space.
• Lack of / difficulty in obtaining accurate data fast.

Skills

• The role of Senior Executive also requires certain level of decision making and being independent. He/she should also be able to contribute ideas for improvement.
• Candidate must demonstrate interest and ideally experience in the sustainability space, ideally within a corporate environment.
• Critical thinker, fast learner, and possess good time management.
• Good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Multitasking and resourceful team player with good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• A passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop a career within the sustainability space.
• Works well with all levels within the organization.

Relevant IndustriesExternal

• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field of research, environment, social science, corporate, finance

Education

• Degree/Master in Sustainable Development, Environmental Management, Social Science, Finance, Economic or Business study
