Job Description

The Senior Graphic Designer will mainly be in charge of art work and designs direction for children\'s, academic, comic and story books depending on the project suitability. Job Responsibilities:

• To draw and colour based on descriptions provided in manuscripts by using computer.
• To make necessary amendment of diagram as instructed by superior(s) and editor-in-charge of the project.
• To design heading, icon, book covers, brochures, advertisements, logos, backdrops, bunting, posters, bookcases, packaging etc
• To liaise with the respective editors on related comments, suggestions etc on design matters.
• To source for suitable icons, images, photographs etc required in design work.
• To secure relevant photographs, diagrams or illustrations from books, magazines, newspapers, etc., for reference purposes.
• To cross-check with superiors for proper and advance permission of all copyrighted material (graphics, photographs, royalty-free images, etc.).
• To output and check PDF files
• To ensure quality control and good pratices at all times.
• To ensure ISO compliance in all work procedures
• To maintain good working condition of software and equipment assigned to you.
• To back-up own work.
• To maintain an archiving system for all jobs
• To assist in the maintenance and updating of the photo library, like SPACE and others
• To ensure all projects/works assigned are accomplished on time.
• To be updated on latest development in design by surveying of competitors\xe2\x80\x99 products, attending book fairs etc.
• To perform any ad hoc and other duties relating to the above as may be assigned by your superior from time to time

Job Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Illustration, Digital Arts or equivalent.
• Ablility to read and write in Mandarin, Malay, & English is a must.
• At least 3-4 years experience will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in Adobe Indesign, Photoshop & Illustrator.
• Creativity, Flexibility, Attention to detail, Deadline-oriented.
• Technical Capacity, Organizational skills, Decision-making.

Required Documents:

• Updated resume stating qualifications, work experience, current and expected salary with recent passport-sized photography;
• Transcripts from SPM to current level;
• NRIC photocopy;
• Portfolio link;
• Latest 3 months payslip (if any).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month Benefits:
