Manage end-to-end processes of foreign worker administration including recruitment, work permits, visas, medical check-ups, renewals and repatriation.
Liaise with government agencies (e.g., Immigration Department, Ministry of Human Resource, JTK, etc.) to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
Coordinate with recruitment agencies, contractors and vendors for sourcing and mobilizing foreign workers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records for foreign workers including contracts, permits and hostel arrangements.
Handle hostel management, foreign workers' welfare and discipline issues.
Conduct orientation programs to ensure foreign workers understand company policies, safety and workplace culture.
Monitor expiry dates of permits/visas and ensure timely renewal to avoid penalties.
Provide advice and support to management on manpower planning, labour laws and best practices for foreign worker management.
Coordinate portpasses application, renewal, replacement and relevant port authority's requirement
Administer statutory requirement including HRDF training grant application, levy payment and claims
Coordinate matters pertaining to employee / industrial relations
Prepare regular reports on workforce status, turnover and compliance.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 5 years of HR experience with at least 3 years specializing in foreign worker management.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, immigration regulations and government requirements related to foreign labour.
Experience liaising with government departments and agencies.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with workers and management.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision, proactive and solution-oriented.
Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
Multilingual abilities (e.g., English, Malay and knowledge of workers' native languages) will be an added advantage.
