Job Summary
Queens College Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Human Resource Executive to oversee day-to-day HR operations, support organizational growth, and ensure effective implementation of HR policies and staff development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of HR experience, preferably as a Generalist, with a strong background in recruitment, employee relations, and training coordination.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Manage the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, leave management, and employee database maintenance.
Ensure HR processes comply with Malaysia's labor laws and institutional policies.
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and manuals in alignment with company standards.
Recruitment & Staffing
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and offer letters.
Work closely with department heads to understand manpower needs and ensure timely hiring.
Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for both academic and administrative positions.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Serve as the first point of contact for staff matters, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Foster a positive work culture through engagement initiatives and employee welfare programmes.
Support disciplinary and performance management processes.
Training & Development
Plan, organize, and track employee training programmes to enhance staff competency and performance.
Coordinate internal and external training sessions, including liaising with HRD Corp for claimable courses.
Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records.
Performance & Compliance
Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems and KPIs.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with HR statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, etc.).
Support HR audits and management reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably as an HR Generalist.
Strong understanding of Malaysian Employment Act and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience handling staff training programmes is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Independent, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
