About the Role
We are a growing
engineering consultancy company
looking for a capable and self-driven
Senior Human Resource Executive (Legal & Compliance Support)
to join our team in Shah Alam.
This is a key position supporting the CFO in managing the company's
HR operations
and
compliance matters
, including coordination of legal documentation for both local and overseas clients.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Responsibilities:
Manage the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations.
Administer performance appraisal processes and maintain HR records.
Coordinate training, development, and employee engagement initiatives.
Maintain and update HR policies and ensure compliance with the
Employment Act 1955
and other relevant regulations.
Support Manager on liaising with Statutory bodies and ensure compliance and timely submission of statutory contributions.
Support manpower planning, budgeting, and HR reporting for management review.
Work closely with management to foster a productive and engaging workplace environment.
Assist in creating a culture of learning organization
Legal & Compliance Support:
Assist in reviewing employment contracts, vendor agreements, and client-related documents.
Liaise with external legal counsel, government authorities, and clients on HR or company compliance matters.
Maintain proper records of contracts and confidential documents.
Ensure company policies and procedures align with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Provide updates to management on labor law and compliance changes.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in
Human Resource Management
,
Business Administration
,
Law
, or related field.
Minimum
4 years of relevant HR experience
, ideally in an SME or engineering environment.
Familiar with Malaysian labour laws and HR best practices.
Experience handling or reviewing basic legal documentation is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
High integrity, discretion, and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Ability to do multitasking tasks whilst maintaining a high level of energy and willing to learn attitude.
Ability to work under pressure, at times.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
