Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees in Malaysia to ensure best practice HR delivery according to the relevant industrial relations or legislative frameworks Prepare and implement the company\'s Human Resource policies, practices and procedures in respect of employees Attend to the recruitment of suitably qualified personnel to meet requirements of operating and functional areas and participate in workforce planning for projects Focal point and responsible for all Industrial Relations matters including negotiations of Union Collective Agreements Ensure personnel records and statistics are maintained (from preparing/updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating) Design, review and maintain all employee contract templates to ensure they meet legislative requirements. Contribute to plans to meet estimated human resource requirements Prepare and maintain organizational charts Supervise the operation of job evaluation and performance management (i.g Promotion, Implementation and Monitoring of employee evaluation systems), and advise management of possible effects Conduct research on remuneration and benefits used in other companies, and make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of existing company programs Educate and assist managers with grievance and personnel issues Deals with Workers Compensation matters Contribute HR information and details for tender submissions and also audit requirements. Negotiate and manage Employee Health Insurance Legal-labor advice to the company. Provide support to the Country and regional objectives and tasks as required Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees Processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval. Support the HR Manager Asia in aligning Corporate HR policies, compliance and reporting requirements across the region in due course Enroll employee to required e-learnings, either for new employees or annual refreshment. Employee Engagement Initiatives: Elaboration and launch of the employee engagement survey, identification of strengths and weakness and preparation of actions plans. Ensure the company policy and induction requirements are conducted to whole staff/ personnel in compliance to country and corporate requirement. Able to develop training programs, including orientation and induction as necessary Maintaining records of employee participation in all training and development programs, include Certificates. Maintain efficient paper and electronic filing system and ensures quick retrieval of requested documents Assist with the mentoring and training of Company Staff in your area of expertise Record and report administrative employees both internally and externally in accordance with legal provisions (Employment Contracts, Collective Agreements, social funds, etc.) Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations. Other duties as may be required from time to time, commensurate with skills, abilities and qualifications. Carry out the work yourself on occasions where employees are already occupied, delegate operational responsibilities when absent from the office on work or vacation. Complete monthly payroll audits, check indirect payroll as required by the Financial Controller As a liaison with Building Management, particularly facilities and any maintenance. Identify purchase needs of office facilities and supplies Expatriate management (formalities, global mobility, etc). Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline combined with eight years or more human resource management experience Having more than 8 years of experience working for large multinational companies Experienced in contract and government regulations. Good understanding of Malaysia Employment Act and other relevant regulations Solid knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other Federal and State legislation relevant to employment. Proven ability to manage interpersonal relationships Proven ability to negotiate and communicate well to all levels of employees and management. Experience in negotiation with union representatives and other stakeholder groups Strong organizational skills - must have the ability to handle many diverse tasks simultaneously and be able to work efficiently with interruptions Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
