Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
IT Systems Analyst - Manufacturing
to support and run IT systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role is critical to ensuring smooth manufacturing operations, handling high-priority incidents, and driving continuous system and process improvements. You will act as a key liaison between business users, IT technical teams, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Run and support IT systems used in manufacturing to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations in Kulim.
Handle system changes, incidents, and emergency situations for high-priority manufacturing issues.
Proactively identify opportunities for business process improvements and system enhancements.
Provide consulting support for new system implementations as well as ongoing production support projects.
Act as a bridge between business functions, IT technical teams, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely communication of requirements, issues, and progress.
Collaborate with business users and vendors to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
Identify system gaps, risks, and workarounds, and propose long-term corrective actions.
Gather, map, and document business requirements, processes, and objectives.
Develop, customize, and configure system enhancements based on business needs.
Perform system testing, validate results, and maintain clear technical and functional documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum
5 years of relevant experience
in IT systems support or manufacturing IT environments.
Experience in the
semiconductor industry or similar manufacturing environments
is strongly preferred.
Mandatory experience in Advanced Process Control (APC)
, including at least one of the following:
Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Fault Detection & Classification (FDC)
Run-to-Run (R2R) control
Strong hands-on experience with
SQL, Oracle, and Linux
(mandatory).
Knowledge of
SECS/GEM and Java
is an added advantage.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Good English communication skills (written and spoken) are mandatory
.
Nice to Have
Experience working directly with manufacturing equipment systems.
Exposure to vendor management and multi-stakeholder environments.
Ability to work under pressure and manage critical production issues effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
