Job Description

As a Senior Logistics Specialist APAC, you will define and implement strategies for logistics including third-party providers across the region by administering contracts and price that meet operational and functional business goals.

Key areas of focus for this position including, warehousing, transportation, freight forwarding, especially in chemical products logistics in APAC region. You will manage the relations with logistics suppliers to bring the value to the company

Main Responsibilities

Awareness and application of PPG\xe2\x80\x99s EH&S policy regarding all Logistics and Warehousing and safe working procedures in the office environment.

Ensuring product stewardship principles are applied to supplier products as well as internal processes by: Considering community and environmental factors in all purchases.

Ensure compliance to PPG\xe2\x80\x99s Trade Practices and Code of Ethics policies by, being up to date with knowledge of trade practices laws and awareness of policies, assessing the trade practices & ethical possible effects of business activities and being aware of and looking for appropriate resources including legal advice.

Research & implement creative processes to reduce costs & increase efficiency.

Contract management and negotiation to secure the most advantageous terms through bidding, vendor sourcing.

Contribute to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the local supplier base.

Understand and keep up with new trends and regulations in the country.

Develop annual EH&S due diligence plans that encourages senior management participation with the logistics workforce.

Ensure third-party logistics and freight suppliers operate their facilities and vehicles following regulatory requirements and PPG requirements.

Qualifications

Total of at least 5 years\' of working experience, of which 3 years should be in Logistic or Procurement or related roles, experience in a multinational setting.

Strategic analysis, root cause analysis.

Excellent stakeholder management skills

Skills that complement the broader business strategy in the region.

Financial and data skills
