If you are excited about a role but don\'t meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add a Senior Manager, Employee Relations located in Bukit Minyak, Penang.The Senior Manager, Employee Relations will be accountable for working with employees, managers and leaders across different teams, building trusted relationships quickly, and leading with a high level of competence, empathy and creativity to drive the right solutions.What a typical day looks like:Investigations & Domestic Inquiries

  • Accountable for the analysis and resolution of complex employee relations issues related to policy or culture violation, independently or by collaborating with managers, peers in Human Resources (HR) and Legal as appropriate. Recommends solutions to address issues that are immediate but also puts in place policies and practices that are preventive.
  • Contacts and interviews complainants, reported witnesses, and respondents related to policy or culture violations. Documents findings and maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality.
  • Effectively contracts with and manages stakeholder engagement and expectations. Accountable for strategy and for all aspects of an investigation: e.g., stakeholder involvement & communications internally and with external labor authorities.
  • Collaborates with and seeks counsel from senior peers or managers as needed on proposed strategy and approach depending on complexity and/or sensitivity of the complaint, or seniority/ visibility of the parties involved. Has a high degree of skill in interviewing techniques and mastery of empathy, confidentiality, and connecting themes across interview findings.
  • Assists internal global investigations teams in investigations of serious cases and implements appropriate solutions decided by the global teams.
  • Accountable for organizing panels and conducting Domestic Inquiries when required. Ensures all individuals on the panel are well trained, compliance requirements are met and appropriate processes are used.
  • Proactively identifies and interprets trends in employee relations issues across sites, locations or country. Designs and recommends interventions and solutions to facilitate an open, inclusive, values-based environment.
Training & Escalation Management
  • Subject matter expert who educates, supports, and coaches managers and HR Business Partners in all matters of Malaysia labor law and in dealing with employee grievances. Provides training and guidance on processes such as Performance Improvement Process or Workforce Reductions.
  • Schedules & trains managers and HR Business Partners on all relevant matters e.g., changes to labor laws, performance management and workforce reductions.
  • Addresses all escalations from managers and employees and ex-employees. Partners with the relevant HR Business Partners, line managers and internal legal teams but is accountable for resolving escalations.
  • Demonstrates balanced advocacy for employees and the organization and makes decisions that balance short term vs long term impact on Flex, Malaysia.
The experience we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add to our team:
  • Requires a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Human Resources Management or any related field.
  • Requires minimum 10 years of experience in Employee Relations.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding and knowledge of Labor Law in Malaysia.
  • Have experience in handling Investigation, Domestic Inquiry, performance review and anything related.
