  • Provide HSSE Leadership in SESCO Business, effectively manage, lead and oversee respective Site Health, Safety and Environment functions in adhering to Occupational Safety Health and Environmental Policies, thereby ensuring that the Company comply with legal requirements through the implementation of effective management programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement SESCO long term HSSE road map and strategic plan. Analyze the HSSE performance gaps based on performance trending, investigation findings, audits findings and engage with SESCO CEO, Corporate HSSE, HODs and Station Managers to develop the road map and strategic plan.
  • Develop and implement SESCO Annual HSSE strategy, plan and targets (aligning with corporate\'s strategies). Engage with CEO SESCO, Corporate HSSE, HODs and Station Managers to develop and implement Annual HSSE strategy, plan, initiatives and targets. Monitor and report KPI, highlight issues and provide improvement plan and action based on performance trending, investigation findings and audits findings.
  • Strengthen HSE management and standards through development/review and implementation of HSE policy, guidelines and procedures. Work with Corporate HSSE, HODs, Station Managers, Managers and sites HSE personnel to develop/review HSE guidelines and procedures to enhance safe execution of projects.
  • Enhance HSSE and Process Safety capability of SESCO personnel. Work with Corporate HSSE, HODs, Station Managers, Managers to develop new HSE and Process Safety training modules and conduct the trainings.
  • Inculcate HSSE Culture in SESCO through HSSE leadership, Behavior Safety and Site Intervention & Improvement Programs. Work with Corporate HSSE, HODs and Station Managers to implement HSSE Leadership, Behavior Safety, Life Saving Rules and Site Intervention & Improvement Programs.
  • Develop and include HSE design i.e. Health & Safety, Environment, Fire, Process Safety and Human Factors Engineering requirements in projects. Work with Corporate HSSE (Technical Safety), Project Managers to incorporate Health & Safety, Environment, Fire, Process Safety and Human Factors Engineering requirements in projects conceptual design and technical specifications.
SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
  • The challenges in keeping abreast with all current Occupational Safety and Health legislations, technical and safety standards, process safety, site emergency response, managing major emergency and involvement in new technical or engineering developments.
  • The ability to work closely with all Station Managers / Managers / Site HSSE /all staff / contractors/Subcontractors; to gain trust and respect to ensure strong cooperation towards compliance with legal requirements, implementation of safety program and fact findings mission during accident investigations.
  • The ability to act swiftly and accurately in conducting accident investigation; willingness to travel on short notice; work round the clock to produce credible finding and reports.
  • The ability to assess the competency and aptitude of staff through interview.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree in Engineering with minimum 15 years\' experience managing and implementing HSSE policy, guideline, procedures and programs in Asset.
Preference will be given to internal candidate.
