Job Purpose



The

Senior Manager, Learning & Development (L&D)

leads the strategic design, execution, and evaluation of learning initiatives that build organizational capability and promote a culture of continuous learning. This role plays a critical part in shaping the organization's talent strategy--particularly in

developing and empowering Sarawakian talent

--to ensure a sustainable pipeline of skilled and future-ready leaders.

Key Responsibilities



1. Strategic Learning Leadership



Define and implement the L&D strategy aligned with business goals, workforce priorities, and regional development objectives. Champion initiatives that strengthen the

Sarawakian talent pipeline

, leadership readiness, and long-term succession planning.

2. Assessing Organizational Learning Needs



Conduct comprehensive learning needs analyses through performance data, surveys, feedback, and consultation with senior leaders. Translate insights into structured learning roadmaps addressing current and future capability requirements.

3. Designing and Delivering Development Programs



Lead the development and facilitation of high-impact programs, including leadership, technical, and behavioral learning initiatives. Utilize blended learning formats--workshops, e-learning, virtual sessions, and microlearning--to reach diverse audiences.

4. Learning Content and Curriculum Management



Oversee the creation, curation, and standardization of learning content that is engaging, practical, and relevant to local contexts. Integrate innovative learning tools and technologies (e.g., AI learning assistants, mobile learning platforms) to enhance delivery and scalability.

5. Learning Systems & Data Analytics



Manage and optimize the

Learning Management System (LMS)

for seamless learner experience, accurate data tracking, and reporting. Use analytics to measure learning effectiveness and link outcomes to business performance.

6. Leadership & Talent Development



Design and execute leadership development frameworks, mentoring programs, and coaching interventions to build local leadership capability. Support talent identification, succession planning, and capability-building for high-potential Sarawakian employees.

7. Onboarding & Early Career Development



Oversee structured onboarding and early-career programs that integrate new hires effectively and accelerate readiness.

8. Driving a Learning Culture



Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and self-driven growth across all levels of the organization. Empower managers to become learning advocates and mentors for their teams.

9. Stakeholder & Change Management



Partner with senior management, HRBPs, and department heads to align learning initiatives with organizational priorities. Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on capability development, performance enhancement, and employee engagement.

10. Continuous Improvement & Innovation



Stay current with global and regional L&D trends, technologies, and methodologies. Continuously enhance learning strategies to ensure relevance, agility, and measurable impact.

Skills & Competencies



Proven track record in strategic learning and development leadership Deep understanding of adult learning principles and organizational development Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect learning metrics to business outcomes Excellent facilitation, communication, and influencing skills across multiple levels Skilled in LMS administration and e-learning content management Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities Passion for nurturing

local Sarawakian talent

and driving inclusive talent growth

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Psychology, or related discipline Advanced certification in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or Organizational Development (e.g., CIPD, ATD) is an advantage Minimum

7-10 years

of experience in L&D or Talent Development, including

at least 3 years in a managerial or senior leadership capacity

Experience in

regional or local talent development, particularly in Sarawak

, is highly desirable
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM13,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
