Salary: RM 15K-23K Location: Kuching, Sarawak JOB PURPOSE Senior Manager of Product Development is a managerial professional who conducts research for new products, design concepts and product enhancements. They collaborate with team members to evaluate the practicality of production ideas and eventually develop them into reliable, sellable products. They plan and direct the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. The position reports to the Head of Development Operations RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic planning and management of the entire product portfolio Oversee all facets of the company's products landscape, which includes architecture, DevOps, microservices, cloud, open-source databases, and RESTful APIs. Managing a multiple projects and product's life cycle with quality, cost and timeline. Create and present visionary innovations and strategic decision proposals, as well as the calculation of business cases. Manage the development and upkeep of the company's technical solutions, including its web and mobile applications. Keep abreast of the most recent developments in technical trends and technologies and suggest new initiatives to promote innovation and growth. Oversee and guide a group of technical experts. Research patents, copyrights and trademarks in order to make sure there are no infringement issues involved. Patent and register intellectual property for new product creation. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related fields. At least 8 years of experience in the field of software, IT, Telecommunication, eCommerce, marketing or product management Knowledge of the software development life cycle. Sound knowledge and understanding of business and technology. Strong analytical, strategic and coordinating skills Knowledge of version control systems such as Gitlabs to manage code development and versioning. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, PHP framework, HTML/CSS , Python , SpringBoot or JavaScript. Have experience in software design patterns and architectures such as MVC, RESTful APIs, and microservices. You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data. You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders and direct reports. You are highly goal driven and work well in fast-paced environment.
