We are looking for a highly-driven and motivated Public Affairs & Sustainability Senior Manager/Manager to join our regional team to drive foodpanda\'s public policy strategy, with a focus on sustainability - the role will be a 50:50 split between public policy and sustainability strategy. The successful candidate will be a key member of our APAC Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability team, responsible for the development and management of foodpanda\'s public policy goals, with a focus on sustainability and related programmes and partnerships.

Responsibilities

Develop regional public policy strategies and positions on regulatory challenges to business objectives on topics including the gig economy, competition, consumer protection, data protection/fraud and sustainability. This includes the creation of materials supporting advocacy on these positions, in collaboration with our global, regional and in-market teams.

Lead the regional sustainability agenda, which includes (i) addressing government policies on sustainability issues; (ii) building on existing programme parameters and projects; (iii) coordinating sustainability reporting according to internal and international standards; (iv) identifying and pursuing partnerships with inter-governmental stakeholders, credible players in the sustainability space, NGOs and other stakeholders to build thought leadership and advance our sustainability goals.

Lead and drive projects with internal teams such as PR/communications, operations/logistics, marketing, commercial and legal teams to advance our sustainability goals.

Requirements

Approx. 6 to 8 years of experience managing public policy, government relations and/or advocacy work, with proven experience leading and executing sustainability programmes.

A broad understanding of the sustainability topics and issues in the Asia Pacific, with informed perspectives on corporate sustainability policies as well as the latest industry standards and trends.

Strong knowledge of political systems, environments and institutions in the Asia Pacific.

Possess strong judgement and problem-solving skills, creativity, and ability to work in a fast-paced/changing environment.

Good project management to work effectively on multi-stakeholder projects .

Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
