Senior Marine Engineer- Kuala Lumpur On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for a Senior Marine Engineer to work in Kuala Lumpur on a contract basis. This will be a 1-2 year renewable contract, paying a monthly salary in MYR plus benefits. Please note you MUST have the right to work in Malaysia. As the Senior Marine Engineer, your objectives will be to lead the maintenance team to optimise offshore maintenance activity and project execution to safely deliver approved production targets and project execution milestones within OPEX and capex budgets. To act as primary integrator between projects/operations functions to ensure all work ongoing on the assets is well coordinated and in line with the annual work programme and budget (WPB). Provide SSHE and asset integrity leadership for all activities associated with projects and operations and in compliance with company and governmental rules and regulations. Responsibilities Aware of the Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Asset Integrity risk in the work area and to proactively play your part in reducing this risk. To speak up if you have any Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Asset Integrity concern. Responsible for proactively leading the management of risk to people with the team. Ensure that the offshore installation is in full readiness at all the times to respond to any emergency situation Provide support to the Emergency Response Team in the office during and operations related crisis situation at offshore Follow up with PIC of Management of Change process i.e. from initiation, execution and close out including the required documentation Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor Degree from a recognised university in the discipline of Marine Engineering or Class 1 Certificate of Competency (COC) FG Marine Engineer Professional / Chartered Engineer status.
