The Senior M&E Manager will lead inspection and reporting activities for existing building projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in identifying M&E issues and preparing professional reports for submission to the Project Manager and client. The candidate must demonstrate leadership, technical knowledge, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Assessment
Conduct detailed inspections of existing buildings covering electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and vertical transportation systems.
Identify defects, risks, and non-compliance with statutory requirements.
Ensure timely documentation of findings and recommendations.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare professional inspection reports with photos, analysis, and rectification recommendations.
Review and verify as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and commissioning records.
Submit reports to Project Manager for consolidation and client delivery.
Project Coordination
Liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors to address inspection findings.
Provide technical input on corrective actions and preventive measures.
Monitor subcontractor compliance and documentation submissions.
Leadership & Compliance
Guide junior engineers/inspectors in inspection and reporting standards.
Ensure work complies with UBBL, MS standards, and safety/environmental regulations.
Champion adherence to Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
At least
9 years of experience
in M&E inspection, maintenance, or project execution.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes, standards, and regulations.
Proven track record in preparing professional inspection reports.
Competency in technical analysis, problem-solving, and compliance management.
Excellent communication skills to work with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Leadership qualities to coach and supervise inspection teams.
