Job Description

As a Senior Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL), you will handle the development and management of ongoing professional relationships with healthcare professionals, clinical investigators and healthcare decision makers to provide medical and scientific support. In this role, you will spend most of your time in the field engaging with external partners and demonstrate excellence in core MSL functionalities in previous roles, leading and carrying out strategic projects that have supported your role and/or brands/compounds.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Developing professional relationships; educate and maintain scientific dialogue with medical authorities and key partners to ensure access to current and emerging information on Novartis products
• Strong evidence of crafting and implementing strategic plans to engage Medical Experts and optimize alignment of development activities
• Providing scientific information that can now be quickly adapted to communicating up-to-date data on Novartis products to authorities and healthcare professionals
• Support Novartis clinical research programs, optimize trial execution and provide scientific educational support to potential and actual study sites in collaboration with clinical operations
• Education of medical experts, authorities, speakers, and investigators on novel and emerging data including scientific information on patient critical issues that are medically relevant and support quality use of medicine
• Prepare scientific and medical meeting results; attend and support medical meetings, report customer feedback and evaluate the impact of competitive information to share both internally and externally

Minimum requirements

What you\'ll bring to the role:

• Prior PhD, Nursing or Pharmacy qualifications would be advantageous for this position, coupled with evidence of previous strong MSL experience
• You will come with knowledge of clinical medicine and disease management. Experience within Opthalmology and Oncology would be highly advantegeous
• Demonstrated experience in establishing and encouraging relationships with authorities and decision makers
• Ability to synthesize scientific information, analyse them within strategic and regulatory settings with a strong personal integrity, and customer focus
• Outstanding interpersonal communication, negotiation and sophisticated presentation skills with effectively chipping in to work on multifunctional teams
• Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a constantly evolving environment
