The Role Responsibilities Strategy To underwrite and manage loans under credit initiation (credit analysis and credit approval) for business installment loan, business working capital loans, commercial & residential mortgage loans, credit cards, personal loans, wealth management loans. To provide feedback to the policy team on gaps and overlay in the credit policy observed during underwriting. Involve in credit risk & provide credit assessment and deliver strategy on risk operations. Business Support and deliver Bank\'s strategic intent to become the world\'s best international and focusing on banking the companies and people driving trade, investment and wealth across Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Actively sponsor and reinforce strategic change through effective and receptive change management practice. Processes Ad hoc reporting and other duties assigned byHead, Credit Lending Operations from time to time. Co-supervision and training of new/existing staff on new products and guidelines under the purview of credit evaluation. Actively engage the teams in regular discussions to drive operational efficiency and knowledge sharing. Maintain an open channel of communication with other stakeholders particularly sales channels, product/ process, policy/risk and operations teams to address any issues. To ensure quality of credit underwriting in CPBB Business Instalment Loans (BIL, including Government Instalment [GIL], Commercial Mortgage (CM) and Business Working Capital (BWC) (including Supply Chain Financing (SCF) & Legacy Program Lending Trade) is maintained within parameters under respective Product Development Document (PDD) and under Group and local credit policy and business strategy, and that reporting of information relating to this portfolio is timely and accurate. To ensure applications are processed within the acceptable TAT. To instil strong credit culture by setting highest standards and demanding these are maintained by all business partners within Retail Banking. Ensure services provided by CPBB Client Onboarding Operations and Third-Party Service Providers are delivered in accordance with agreed service standards. To identify service delivery issues in the country and reflect then in the operational plans with appropriate actions to address the issues. Monitor performance against standards and provide timely feedback to direct reports. Accountable for efficiency and effectiveness of CPBB Client Onboarding Operations processes by ensuring service standards are in line with competitive benchmarks. Review end to end processes with Direct reports and GBS team service delivery units with the aim of enhancing workflow, productivity and achieve end to end efficiencies with optimal resourcing at both bank and GBS. Responsible for the provision of support, advice and guidance to the branch network and other processing centre regarding all areas of operations including the organization of service and efficiency from a customer perspective People & Talent Banking products knowledge - SME Credit, Credit Cards, CASA, Mortgage, PL, Banca Market and competition knowledge Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners. Ensure that GBS counterpart holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks. Ensure framework and execution of planning in place. Participation for all key trainings for personal development & mandatory e-learning are completed within stipulated timeframe. Risk Management Accountable for identifying, managing and controlling risks by ensuring that all procedure and processes are in compliance with laws and regulations as well as relevant law of the domiciled country of client to avoid risks to clients, Bank and the Group. Ensure accuracy in the creation and maintenance of a compliance culture, undertake compliance monitoring, generate timely and accurate compliance reports, proactively advise Country Compliance on compliance issues and updates new matrices as advised by the Business Compliance Coordinator. To proactively identify and recommend areas of risk/ opportunities arising from regulatory and market changes. Ensure all processes within Client Onboarding Lending Operations comply with Standards, Risk and Compliance procedures and processes. Governance The ability to assess the effectiveness of the firm\'s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role Ability to deliver \'effective governance\' capability to challenge fellow executives effectively and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
