Job Description

1. Monitoring production processes to ensure that quality standards are met.
2. Ensuring that products meet functional requirements by designing mould.
3. Prepare mould component drawing and assembly drawings.
4. Ensure smooth transition from design to development of testing of the design and production trial run.
5. Resolve any design technical issues in a timely manner.
6. Working with customers to determine needs and requirements, such as material specifications, product details, and production schedules.
7. Creating computer models of products that can be used to produce mould for casting metals or plastics.
8. Designing mould that can produce a high volume of products while minimizing material usage and production times.
9. Reviewing blueprints, drawing or other design specifications to determine how to translate them into mould.
10. Analyzing materials to determine their suitability for mould construction, such as porosity or thermal conductivity.
11. Attend meeting with managing team and other department to report project progress.
12. Determine the type of material needed to create the mould and calculating its size and shape.
13. Designing mould using computer software programs, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
14. Provide solution for any issue and problem arise on site.
15. Knowledge transfer of the skills and technique of moulding design and manufacturing to juniors.
