Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Application Maintenance / Production Support Engineer (L3) to provide advanced support for mission-critical applications within the OCOE sub-domain. The role requires strong technical expertise in Java Spring Boot and ReactJS, along with database and Linux administration knowledge, to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of production systems.
The candidate will be responsible for handling escalations, performing root cause analysis, and driving permanent fixes for recurring issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the L3 support escalation point for application incidents and service requests unresolved by L1 and L2 teams.
Perform deep-dive analysis and resolution of complex application and production issues.
Provide bug fixing, minor enhancements, and performance tuning in Java Spring Boot and ReactJS applications.
Ensure database performance, stability, and integrity across Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or equivalent RDBMS platforms.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring problems and recommend permanent solutions.
Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth transition of changes and releases to production.
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes as per ITIL standards.
Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting to minimize downtime and improve system resilience.
Create and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
Support on-call rotation and provide timely response to critical outages.
Contribute to continuous service improvement by automating repetitive support activities.
Required Skills & Experience
6-9 years of overall IT experience with a strong background in application maintenance / production support.
Proven expertise in Java Spring Boot (backend) and ReactJS (frontend).
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or equivalent RDBMS.
Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux / Linux OS for troubleshooting and support.
Strong debugging, log analysis, and performance tuning skills.
Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 production environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in high-availability and large-scale production environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Hands-on experience with Docker / Kubernetes.
Scripting skills (Shell, Python) for automation and monitoring.
