rhi is currently recruiting for one Senior Payroll Analyst to join our client, in their retail side of the Global Oil & Gas company in their office in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur on a contract with rhi for 12 months. We are looking for someone that has experience with payroll between 100 and 4000 headcount and from a fast paced environment. You will be trained so that you are fit to support Australia. Experience with Australia is a plus but not a must. People & Culture Services + Solutions (P&C S+S) is an internal global HR shared services organisation, responsible for delivering centralised and standardised HR services for our client from a number of geographical delivery centres as appropriate for our client\xe2\x80\x99s footprint. The purpose of the Local Delivery & Payroll Senior Analyst role is to: \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure integrity and security of employee information is maintained. \xe2\x80\xa2 Apply sound knowledge and expertise in the processing of the companies\xe2\x80\x99 payrolls (including all Award/EA payroll requirements) for fortnightly and monthly pay cycles. \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for all payroll activities and reconciliation of associated payroll general ledger accounts and to ensure integrity and security of employee information. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure compliance with company, regulatory and statutory requirements relating to payroll, taxation, and the payment of superannuation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide payroll advice to HR, employees and line managers Key accountabilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide payroll advice as required to employees and team leaders and manage payroll related queries including superannuation, allowances, incorrect pay amounts and if applicable car lease deductions queries. \xe2\x80\xa2 Accurate validation, processing and payment of all employee salaries for graded and award staff (fortnightly and monthly payroll). Including the creation and transmitting of bank files \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure payroll figures interface into the relevant general ledger and all payroll related ATO and third-party deductions are completed. Payroll balance sheet reconciliation investigations are completed in a timely manner. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure payslips are published in a timely manner. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare and send Payment summary advice. \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for end of year payment summary reconciliation, reporting and payment summaries and ATO file production for the group of companies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare and respond to ATO/Centrelink and ABS requests. \xe2\x80\xa2 Remittance and reconciliation of Superannuation interfaces. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support internal and external audit requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform limited user acceptance testing of payroll related changes e.g. new work schedules \xe2\x80\xa2 Anticipate potential issues and make recommendations to ensure timely and effective procedures are in place to avert any issues. \xe2\x80\xa2 Create and maintain procedures and work instructions for payroll Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting or related discipline is preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in both spoken and written English language Essential Experience and job requirements: Demonstrates capability in line with the HR Capability Framework, with an equal blend of EQ, IQ and drive. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work on large number of simultaneous tasks many of which may have a local, national or global component and may require lateral thinking based on employee/business needs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Balancing responsive customer service standards with competing processing and compliance work in a busy, dynamic payroll environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Keeping up to date with all Awards and payment instruments under an existing complex IR framework of agreements and Awards. Technical Capability \xe2\x80\xa2 Prior experience in HR Shared Service / service centre in a multi-national organisation is preferable. \xe2\x80\xa2 Expertise in end-to-end payroll administration/processing incorporating the use of time and attendance systems. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to interpret Enterprise agreements and Award conditions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Expertise in general ledger reconciliation payroll postings and journal entry. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven time management and organisational skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 High attention to detail. \xe2\x80\xa2 Medium to high numeracy skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Intermediate skills in Microsoft suite. \xe2\x80\xa2 Digital fluency - not only comfortable and competent using technology to enable and enhance ways of working and thinking, also comfortable in the wider digital environment and the interface with business transformation including people, processes and data driven actions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Adherent and compliant in meeting audit, statutory and regulatory requirements. Business Capability \xe2\x80\xa2 Drives value-adding solutions and a track record of improving/adding value. \xe2\x80\xa2 External focus \xe2\x80\x93 actively working on developing external connections, aware of best practice and actively learns from others.
