JOB SCOPE / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:

Drive initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and safety, minimizing costs and waste through continuous improvement efforts, including root cause analyses, sustainable solutions, and client communication for technical queries.

New Process Development:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement innovative manufacturing processes and technologies.

Technical Support:

Offer technical support to production teams, aiding in troubleshooting process issues, deviations, implementing corrective actions, and managing engineering documentation including approval, review, verification, and performance of engineering calculations, as well as reviewing engineering documents like work instructions, procedures, and production orders.

Process Documentation

: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flow diagrams, SOPs, and batch records, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Equipment Evaluation

: Evaluate and select manufacturing equipment and technologies based on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness considerations.

Risk Assessment

: Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Project Management

: Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams to execute process improvement projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Quality Assurance

: Collaborate with quality assurance and regulatory affairs teams to ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.

Training and Development

: Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff on process-related topics, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Forecasting and Analysis

: Undertake forecasting, analysis, and maintenance responsibilities, including preparing and presenting monthly KPI reports, forecasting equipment downtime, manpower, production consumables, raw materials, and project deliverables, while ensuring preventive maintenance of equipment and analysing production data to optimize efficiency.

Performance Monitoring of Bag Filter Dust Collector:

Ensure and conduct performance monitoring of bag filter dust collector as a CePBFPO competent person, ensuring adherence to regulatory standard and optimizing functionality.

Supply Chain Management:

Raise purchase requisitions for consumables, PPE, utilities, and other items required for production.

Other Duties as Assigned:

Fulfils any additional responsibilities or tasks as delegated by management to support the overall efficiency and success of manufacturing operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

o

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

o

Minimum of 8 years' experience in process engineering

, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments. Experience in coating, chemical, or pipeline industries is beneficial.

Technical Proficiency:

o Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) tools and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as SAP.

o Strong analytical skills, capable of analysing complex data sets and deriving actionable insights.

o Excellent problem-solving abilities with a systematic approach to troubleshooting and

implementing solutions.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Standards:

o Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to manufacturing processes.

o Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.

o Demonstrated leadership in ensuring compliance and driving adherence to industry best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Communication and Leadership:

o Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

o Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects

simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

o Leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor junior engineers, influence crossfunctional teams, and instigate change within the organization.

Continuous Improvement and Professional Development:

o Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and professional development.

o Commitment to staying abreast of new technologies and best practices in process engineering.

Language and Document Proficiency:

Proficient in English

strong verbal

written communication skills.

o Ability to understand and interpret engineering and quality documents.

o Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and familiarity with industry standards such as API, ISO, ASTM, etc.

Document Approval and Review:

o Capable of independently approving, reviewing, and writing all engineering documents.

o Skilled in production and manpower planning, ensuring effective resource allocation.

o Ability to perform basic calculations for man-hours, materials, and consumables to support tender processes.
