Air Liquide began operations in Malaysia in 1927 and is one of the pioneers of the gas industry in Malaysia. Operating in 11 locations in Malaysia, comprising both sales offices and production facilities, Air Liquide supports our customers through providing innovative solutions at every step of their production, including industrial and specialty gases, energy solutions, application technologies and services. The Senior Production Engineer will be responsible to oversee process implementation, enhance productivity through projects, and supervise operations. You will need to develop improvement strategies, identify risks, and enforce safety standards. Besides, you will collaborate with teams to optimize labor, costs, and production. You will need to ensure quality work and contribute to overall production efficiency enhancements.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Operational Effectiveness

Manage plant maintenance for efficient, safe, and cost-effective production.

Generate required reports and enhance quality procedures.

Oversee EIS (Element Important for Safety) identification, testing, and maintenance.

Update PID (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams) for changes and review existing ones.

Ensure all equipment is appropriately calibrated.

Lead Local Management of Change processes and collaborate with Central Maintenance.

Safety, Quality & IMS

Stay updated on health and safety matters.

Ensure timely response to incidents and risks.

Manage industrial regulatory compliances.

Lead the local emergency response team and conduct safety drills.

Process Support and Optimization

Analyze plant operation data, propose improvements.

Lead a team to solve process-related issues and analyze root causes.

People Management

Manage production and maintenance staff, including training.

Provide guidance and prioritize tasks for the team.

Enforce safe work procedures and Air Liquide SOPs.

Decision Making

Drive production and maintenance improvements within approved limits.

Source equipment at the lowest price within approved limits.

Make decisions regarding staff arrangements in production and quality procedures.

Are you a MATCH?

Degree in Chemical/Mechanical or related Engineering field.

Possess a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the plant process related operations or production will be an added advantage.

Familiarity with field troubleshooting experiences.

Great interpersonal skills, adept at communication and maintaining relationships at all levels, including customers.

Possess leadership skills to lead and guide the engineering team.

Ability to travel and monitor different sites.
