Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible to plan, lead and manage the successful delivery of Application Migration activities. This senior resource needs to be comfortable with governing disruptive technologies, managing multiple vendors, contractors and technology disciplines, while communicating to both business and technology resources. This resource

is also responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of transformation activities such as Applications Discovery Assessments, Mapping, and multiple concurrent Application Migration Workstreams executions from current data center to the identified new data centers.

Core Responsibilities

Strong client facing skills and an acute understanding of consulting.

Familiar with Global PMO standards, processes and methodologies.

Data center migration and landing zone requirements and processes.

Directing multiple workstreams and PMs in their planning and execution of workplans

Ensure that projects meet timeline and budget requirements.

Familiar with technologies infrastructure upgrades, server, telecom, test environment, deployments, backup and recovery.

Prepare and effectively communicate appropriate reports and updates to internal and client management

Facilitate the resolution of issues and escalate issues to project stakeholders as required

Ensure all appropriate documentation, requirements, design and test specifications and other required deliverables are created and reviewed/approved by external and internal stakeholders

Achieve project milestones through regular cross-functional project meetings to review schedule, status, issues and to ensure conflict resolution and risk mitigation

Manage project scope and document scope changes including approval for incremental costs prior to performing work

Qualifications

Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple concurrent workstreams on very large programs

Project Management of Data Center and Application Migrations.

Knowledge of the various components and infrastructure that make-up a DC application hosting environment (compute, storage, network, security, back-up, etc. )

Manage all aspects of the project implementations including project rollouts, resource tracking, budget management, schedule development, cost/ budget analysis, cross discipline coordination and communications.

Deep understanding of project management methodology (e.g. PMBOK)

Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing project analyses to stakeholders relating to tracking progress through implementation hardware and software life cycles.

Strong facilitation skills.

Certified PMP by PMI desired

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology preferred

Skillset and Experience

Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal

Experience interviewing end users to gather requirements

Good interpersonal skills and customer handling skills

Good communication skills (both verbal and written)

Ability to structure and draft technical documentation

Ability to drive multiple workstreams updates into meaningful consolidated reporting, tracking for internal and external stakeholders
