Senior Project Manager (property Development)

Job Description

We are representing our client, a new property development SME, in search of a Senior Project Manager to be part of their expanding team and growing business.

The person will oversee the entire lifecycle of a development project, from initial planning, feasibility studies and design to construction, quality control, and closing. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, and resources; coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors; ensuring compliance with laws and regulations; and serving as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, executives, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities:



Project Planning & Management:

Develop long-term and short-term project plans, including setting milestones, deadlines, and targets. Manage the project budget, resources, and schedule to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Leadership and Strategy Development

: Together with the leadership team, develop and implement the company's property development strategy in alignment with corporate goals, market conditions, and financial objectives. Assessing market trends, competition, and opportunities to ensure alignment with emerging market needs.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination:

Lead and motivate the project team, and facilitate clear communication between all parties, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. Present project progress reports and escalate issues to stakeholders.

Risk & Compliance Management:

Identify and mitigate project risks. Ensure compliance with all local zoning laws, regulations, and quality standards. Obtain necessary approvals and financial sanctions at appropriate stages.

Contract & Vendor Management:

Manage commercial aspects of contracts and oversee vendor performance and deliverables.

Quality & Performance:

Monitor construction progress to ensure quality standards are met. Perform quality control throughout the development process.

Financial Oversight:

Manage project finances, including budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, to ensure profitability and alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements:



A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. At least 10 years of experience in a property development industry with minimum 5 years in a managerial/senior leadership role. Strong project management skills and experience handling multiple projects at any one time. Proven track record of managing property development projects from inception to completion. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and working with diverse stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, local authorities and community groups. Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to make effective decisions and resolve conflicts.

Pay: RM18,000.00 - RM28,000.00 per month
