Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise quality control activities across all production lines to ensure compliance with HALAL, HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.
Perform and review incoming raw material inspections, in-process quality checks, and final product verifications.
Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and quality deviations; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Monitor and maintain product specifications, shelf-life testing, and sensory evaluations.
Conduct regular internal audits and ensure audit readiness for third-party inspections.
Train and mentor junior QC staff on SOPs, quality protocols, and food safety awareness.
Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of lab equipment and QC instruments.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation of QC activities, including COA, batch records, and traceability logs.
Work closely with Production, R&D, and Warehouse teams to uphold quality at every stage of the process.
Report to QA/QC Manager or Head of Operations on quality trends and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing quality control.
Strong knowledge of food regulations (e.g., KKM, MeSTI, SIRIM, HALAL).
Familiar with laboratory testing procedures, microbiological standards, and chemical analysis.
Proficient in root cause analysis, documentation, and process validation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
