Responsible for all QS operations (pre-contract, tender preparation, take off quantity, Bill of Quantities preparation, submission, sourcing for quotations and analyze, compare and evaluate material cost)
Appointment of contractors and letter of award preparation
Preparing budgets and ensuring that the completion of the project falls within budget
Evaluate and prepare the project progress claims
Visit sites to monitor progress, prepare monthly site valuation report, attend site meetings and assess progress claims
Perform site measurement to cross check final quantity and preparation of final accounts
Build and maintain sub-contractor and material supplier cost database
Responsible for procurement, negotiation, material inventory record, documentation
Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors and subcontractors
Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Superior from time to time
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor\'s Degree/Postgraduate Diploma/Bachelor\'s Degree/Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Quantity Survey, Civil Engineering or equivalent
At least five (5) years of working experience in construction field is required for this position
Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Able to work under pressure and independently
Required language(s): English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia. Preferably candidates who are fluent in Mandarin as role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.
