Job Description

We are in search of a Sales Engineer for our variable speed drives portfolio in Malaysia aimed at industry and offshore. The candidate will report to the General Manager of Malaysia and take daily directions from the Drives country Lead.

The Sales Engineer has the following key priorities:

• Develop sales growth via partners, contractors and end users creating push and pull
• Investigate and follow through on strategic opportunities and partnerships

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Ensuring consistent and sustainable high growth with a strong and healthy pipeline
• Manage partners pricing, pipeline and development
• Drive for continued improvement in customer satisfaction
• Establish a sales budget for assigned clients
• Defining, developing and implementing country growth plans for industry and offshore
• Meet sales targets and continuously grow market shares. Quote, negotiate and close sales deals/orders and projects
• Lead strategic customer meetings including quarterly review meetings with partners and key customers
• Active participation in marketing activities (i.e. exhibitions, surveys, etc.)

• Ambitious and with a strong sense of urgency, self-starter
• Strong communication skills also in English
• Electrical or Power Electronic Engineering degree, with proven experience in sales and marketing and business development within marine, oil and gas or industry
• Minimum 5 years\' experience in related role
• Proven track record in driving initiatives, results and engagement via others
• Structured and transparent approach with CRM at the core - Danfoss uses SalesForce
• Experience in both virtual and matrix environments
• Understand the Malaysian market especially project sales
• Entrepreneur mindset with high level of energy and confidence and strong appetite for challenges and winning
