Join us as Senior Sales Support Engineer for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be responsible for supporting the ABB sales and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key resource in the control systems domain. Reporting to the Sales Support Manager and this position will be based in Johor Bahru; Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

• Preparing technical and commercial bids for Power/Energy management control systems
• Working with your Bids and proposals, and engineering colleagues across functional areas to understand ABB offerings and follow the defined sales and bid process
• Providing technical support on Energy management solutions to hub & global countries based on needs
• Understanding and preparing Digital and cybersecurity-related offerings suited for energy management solutions
• Attending customer sites with sales colleagues and conducting technical presentations and clarifications on automation solutions
• Preparing and fix the cost sheet based on the ABB,3rd party buy-out items, and man hours
• Participating in the order negotiation and finalization. Actively supporting Sales / FES to achieve the local division order booking budget
• Willingness to expand horizons into process and safety automation in the long run. Project handover to operation in line with defined quality process

Your background

• Minimum bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering / Technology ideally focused on control systems, sub-station & distribution automation, simulation systems (Process/power), SCADA, RTUs, PLCs
• Minimum 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in preparing bids/ estimations or equivalent solution-providing functions
• Knowledge of Marine systems, FPSO, and offshore wind power including class rules like ABS, and DNV is essential
• Knowledge of MS offices and projects is essential
• Experience in IT & networks, controllers and IO, cyber security, and digital solutions is important
• Experience in developing strong customer and internal relationships based on business needs
• Good spoken and written communication skills in English are a must. Knowledge of Other foreign language is valuable
