The unit Digitalization of Services & Core Systems are supporting mainly BASF service units with differentiated solutions and IT products under a strong agile culture. This means, offering new and innovative services, that help them meet BASF Group growth targets.In the Procurement Product Family in the Product Team Invoice Processing, you would consult and support our business partner for the implementation of satellite solution and solution architecture in our complex landscape. It can include the design and architecture of the satellite solution or the integration of third-party solution.The DevOps Engineer understands functional requirements to provide our internal business partner sustainable state-of-the-art solutions. You will also be responsible to implement such solutions in cooperation with other teams in GDS and the business partner. You are responsible for the design and development of functional or technical applications or the enhancements to existing applications.Responsibilities and Key Outcomes

• Management of complex development environments using both internal and external resources
• Technical design and implementation of application enhancements and new applications for BASF Procurement product family.
• Development of those application by using state-of-the-art design and programming methods and ensuring compliance with all relevant BASF guidelines for development
• Ensures sustainable and stable solutions from a technical point of view together with operations
• Contributes to planning and provides cost estimations for complex projects
• Supports creation of (functional) Solution Design Documents
• Supports testing and error correction activities
• Self-organized working within our product-oriented working approach
• Contributes to act according to the agile values and principles (optional)
• Experience in agile methodologies e.g. SCRUM, KANBAN etc.
• In the digitalization/innovation aspect, act as a Global / Regional representative of BASF Digital community, supporting BASF Digital roadmap, helping GDS to identify, execute and implement customer-centric digital solutions in an actionable and measurable way

Job RequirementsEducation and work experience

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree required with preference in Information Technology
• At least 3-5 years professional experience in a SAP Consultant, DevOps Engineer role, software designer or as developer

Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong proactive thinking and self-driven character
• Conflict management skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• High sense of responsibility for collaboration for achievement to foster sustainability and innovation
• Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and to work under pressure.
• Must be able to work independently, must be committed with high sense of responsibility.
• Experienced in SAP Procure to Pay and business processes including finance invoicing; configuration, customization and basic development.
• Basic SAP knowledge for integration of solutions
• Strong Digital mindset to accelerate BASF Digitalization transformation journey
• Fluent language skills in English (written and spoken)

Technical & Professional Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)

• Experiencing Agile way of working or agile implementation approach
